Trichiasis is a condition in which the eyelashes grow inward, causing them to come into contact with the surface of the eye. This can cause irritation, eye redness, and damage to the cornea. It can be treated by removing the problematic eyelashes with a laser or, in severe cases, through surgery to correct the direction of eyelash growth. Treatment relieves discomfort and prevents corneal damage.
